What is Document Classifier?
In shortDocument Classifier is an AI automation for Productivity & Projects teams that works with Asana, Dropbox, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Drive Labels and 3 more apps. Reads each new file in your inbox folder, tags its type, date, parties and deadlines, gives it a standard name and moves it. It is built for office manager, legal ops, finance ops and operations admin.

The problem today
"Scans" folders fill up with files named IMG_2041.pdf, and someone opens, renames and moves each one. Today: 1–3 minutes per file, for 200–5,000 files a month. Deadlines in tax notices, renewals and court dates are missed because nobody opened the file.
What it does
Each new file is read and given a type from your own list, plus its date, parties, reference numbers, sensitivity and any deadlines. It gets a standard file name and moves to the right folder for its type. Unclear or sensitive files stay where they are and go to a review queue. Deadlines can become Google Calendar events, and every move can be undone.

Shadow vs Auto for Document Classifier
Auto is the most it can do on its own. Here is each step side by side.
| Step | Shadow | Auto |
|---|---|---|
| In short | Runs on real data and shows what it would have done. No app is changed and no message is sent. | Runs without approval, with limits, alerts and a kill switch. Unlocks after a trial period in Assisted. |

- Sensitive files shared with "anyone with the link" or outside your company are flagged for a person.
- Legal-hold and HR folders can be excluded.
- You approve before it acts
- Your data stays yours
- It knows its limits
- Stop anytime
